Shooter;
-75 yds - H...H...H....3 pts
100 yds - H...H...M....4 pts
125 yds - H...H...H....9 pts
150 yds - M...H...M....4 pts
175 yds - M...M...M....0 pts
.....................Total 20 pts

Don't rightly know what happened on that 150 yard gong, but the two 175 yard hits sure helped. Maybe 'ol Snuffer was just being particular today about which gongs to hit. Hey, we have fun! :thumbsup:

Sure; these are all 1/4 inch steel spray painted black. I'll list the width first then the length;

-75 yards - 12" x 10.5"
100 yards - 10.5" x 12"
125 yards - 14" x 16"
150 yards - 15.75" x 16.5"
175 yards - 17.5 diameter

These must be shot with open iron sights,,, patched or unpatched roundball only, and your allowed 2 sighter shots per gong before shooting your required 3 record shots.

My rifle is a percussion Dickert with 36" GMB, fixed sights, and single trigger. My load is 55 grains 3fg Goex, .015 patch, and .445 roundball...

Next to Chunk Gun, Cross Sticks, and Snuffing Candles, this is one of my favorite matches. :thumbsup:

Congrats, 'Joe. :thumbsup: I'd offer you a cup of apple pie, but it just don't taste right once it's gone through all them wires... :p

And here's a question for ya...can you hear the hit at 175? Or do y'all have someone with glass watching? (Or do you just run down real quick after you fire and wait for it? ::)

Thanks Noah,

A cup of apple pie sounds pretty good! We get in the same Rondy camp sometime, I'll look you up with my begger's cup! :haha:

Yes, you can hear the delayed report of the ball striking at 175 yards. We have several that will, look and listen.

Thing is, sometimes a person will strike the wood frame target holder and it can sound enough like a nick on the target, that we have to make the walk and look over the gong. It's only what, just under 2 tenths of a mile round trip. :haha:
