Somehow I missed this. Rated a very high 8.2 on IMDB. Only 8 episodes, but the episodes are from 2 hours to 2-1/2 hours each.
I have always been interested in this era.

Wasn't long ago when Phillipa Langley talked the local government to fund a dig in a parking lot for Richard III's body. And they found it.

...and at this point in time, all of this is US history just as much as it is British. I must watch these; I know plenty about ancient history and (of course!) the 17th and 18th centuries. Not so much the Late Mediaeval period.

I should have said, all of them are adaptations of Shakespeare, so not for everyone.
