I store my flints like I store my chicken, wrapped in aluminum foil in the freezer.So what do you wrap your flints in lead or leather? Do you wet the leather to form fit to the flint? Just asking for several friends.
I was out duck hunting with some guys, and the game warden came to check our blind. Everyone else had modern pump shotguns, I had my muzzleloader. The game Warden was checking everybody's shots to make sure they were non-toxic, and legal mag tube length. He said he'd never seen a gun like mine before and didn't want to touch it, he asked what I was shooting. I told him I let the other guys do most of the work and I've got salt, pepper and garlic loaded up in there, I just season them before they hit the water.Salt and a bit of red pepper works.....oh wait....not that kind of seasoning, right?
