Hello gunners  , I have found in the book of Ned H. Robberts the so called Niedner system of patching bullets.
Has anyone of you ever tried this system and is it as good as Mr Roberts claims ???

Can you explain what Niedner's method was. The 'double wrap' is commonly used with long range rifles and the cross patch is popular with some shooting offhand rifles with a specially designed false muzzle. I am also aware of the Chase patch, but don't know anyone who uses the system. What did Niedner do and for which rifles; bench rest?

Yes it did work as good as Roberts said. What Neidner did was use a Chase patch. He made a tube to put the paper patch bullet in, fold the end of the paper patch over, set it on the false muzzle, pushed the paper patched bullet into the false muzzle. He then removed the tube from the false muzzle and pushed the bullet down the barrel. He shot some very fine groups with this system.
