I have had a rifle stock on order from the Rifle shop since August. I have only been able to talk to them twice. Once when I ordered the stock and once when I called up asking when I could have it. I was told at that time -in Early November- that they had it and were holding it until it dried complety. I have not been able to get in touch with them since. I have left many messages and never recieved a call back.
Has any body else had any dealing with this company?
I don't want to flame them, however I think the service, both delievery time and customer service is very questionable
The stock is for a 1st model Brunswick rifle ,that my son bought from Atlantic cutlery. These were rifles that were found in Napal.
My advice is don't buy them, they are overpriced pieces of junk.
The stock was so rotten that it had to be replaced and after the money he spend on it, he wanted to shoot it although they do say they are for dissplay only
The rifle shope was the only place I could find one, but I am worried his money is down the drain. I also ordered a couple of new under lugs and I am still waiting for them also.

Check out what fellas have to say 'bout "TRS", over on the Pre-Flintlock forum. :hmm:

I have been a customer of The Rifle Shoppe for several years. I just received my third lock kit from them (missing a sear spring). They are known to be slow to ship, hard to get in touch with, and often ship incomplete orders. On the other hand, they have eventually shipped what I ordered. I think they are honest folks who are over-extended, or under-manned. Nobody else offers what they do, so it might be a case of lack of marketplace competition. They have done an amazing job of accumulating a collection of important antique gun parts unequaled anywhere. I cut them a lot of slack for that. Plan ahead is the only way to deal with TRS. Eventually you will get your stuff. :=))
