I spoke with a gentleman from "The Rifle Shoppe" about a Tulle fusil de chassse on the recommendation of some of you on this board. I was told that I could have one made for $1995 , they would need 50% deposit, and the wait would be 6 - 8 months. My questions are:

If I ordered on from the rifle shop,( I realize there is lots of room for opinion here--thats what Im looking for)

1) Would I get a quality product?
2) Would I get an authentic product?
3) Are their guns worth 2 grand (trick question I know, but what the heck)
4) Can I "really" expect to get it by 8 months?

I hope they are good.

All the hardware for my new smoothie is from there.

They have an excellent reputation for quality parts

among the guys who know French smoothies.

Unfortunatly I have not seen a completed gun.

:imo:,

if they go the extra mile to make a quality part-- they probably make a good gun also.

You might want to give this guy a gingle

He has one of their guns for sale.

Seems he waited about 2 years for it.

I don't know him or the gun, but he has gone

Good Luck

P.S.

If you get some pictures send me a copy

Thanks

I am the fellow selling the musket. I wouldn't take their word on a 6-8 month wait. Thats what the told me. And getting hold of them after they know they are late is near to impossible. I would search this forum for the other Rifle Shoppe stories and really think this one through, unless you don't mind waiting and not hearing about your gun. :m2c: :imo: :results:

Pillowtick, How was your TRS gun? I like their castings (when they can be had) but I've never seen a finished lock or gun.
