I havent been on this site in a while.I used this site when I was buying rifles for my move to libby montana.I had plenty of blackpowder knowledge growing up using them but after 10 yrs the market had changed, long gone were the really good quality traditional rifles that I remembered.Instead it seems the inlines are where things have gone.I moved to a place that is so rugged that the only sure way of gettin anywhere is by atv.I moved here from dayton Oh.I new when I came here with all muzzleloaders I needed to make the right choices. Some I bought some and sold some because of poor quality and in trditionals right now there seems to be a split down the middle between good and junk.I obviously needed a special sort of small cal and I ended up buying a T/C system one in 32 and put a world cass 3X12 on top.It has never let me down and is dead accurate.I bought a CVA carbine in 50cal after alot of indecesion it has passed the test copletely.Whith a 1 in 32 twist and scope I took an elk at 280 paces of course with sabots.I bought a L.Day 54 swivel breech which is the nicest made rifle and with the rifle having sites on each barrel this is my favorite moose and bear gun as its a ball only with a 1/58 twist.I bought a T/C 50 in flint which is a well made and acurate I shot a mule deer at 75 yrds with it.also bought a Iver Johnson 50 cal O/U which was actually made by san marko in spain and Wouldnt have made the trip because of guality considerations but the top barrel fires exactly 6 inches at 100 yrds and turned out to be a plus. And the rifles I bought which didnt make the cut were a hopkins and allen kit in 36cal as the sear broke almost immediatly and a 32cal mule ear kit made by the same company. It couldnet be trusted to fire. The pistoles I chose was a ruger stainless I bought unfired with extra cyl and it has the made in the 200th year of american liberty and the Lematt and thanks everybody for answering my questions honestly.By the way I know how you guys feel about the lyman rifles you know I have still yet to see one and out here dont recon I will.
