Picked up this "kit" from one of the Guys here maybe 8+ years ago. Got started building, fitting the barrel and adding the lugs.
After a while I burnt myself out and the "building spirit" just up and left town.
Put it aside and didn't even look at it for a loooong time. Even the parts went into hiding.
Parts finally came out of hiding after about a year or so. Parts and half built projects get separated in short order SO,...
Decided I would never get around to finishing it myself so I started looking for a builder.
Found someone that wanted to finish my build so around Christmas time, I packed it up and shipped it off to Ohio.
Here's the before pictures.
After pictures coming real soon.

The "AFTER". Showed up around mid March. Flintlock Fowler. 20 gauge. Patch box didn't fit the "style" so it didn't get installed. Brass inlay and carving "wern't there before" so that was a well received surprise.
Was asked by the builder what I wanted but told him "It's YOUR build so do it like it was your own". Plumb brown barrel and lots of BC Tru Oil stock finish. If I had it to do over again, I might choose a "in the white" barrel finish. Not a thing wrong with what he did. Polished brass sure sets it off.

Funny thing is, all of my MZLDs havn't been fired in a loooong time. Posted them For Sale but no takers. Lots of lookers but most folks are looking for "something for nothing" so they arn't moving. :(
Not sure if I want to keep the Fowler or sell it to someone to enjoy.
Figure it will probably rust from me drooling on it. Should go down the road so I'll have to think hard on that. ;)
