My first rifle build was a Vincent but earlier this fall it was stolen so I'm starting another soon and I am wanting pictures of Vincents for ideas. I plan to use it for competition shooting and hunting but I'm taking more time this go around to make this more of a show piece.

Thanks for your pictures and ideas,

This is a .40 Vincent I built. The sterling silver human tooth inlays are because this is for a dentist. Otherwise, a pretty close copy of an original, from photos.

Send me a personal message here with your address (email or postal) and I will send you a copy of the brochure that Golden Age Arms used to include with their Vincent kits. Has a lot of details that will steer you in the right direction.

Looking at that target, Herb, the .010 patches sure made the .020s look sick for both velocity and accuracy. Bet they were a lot easier to load as well.

I've had very good luck with .010 patches in a .36 Seneca, a .32 Cherokee, and a .32 unmentionable. All the thick patches ever got me on the small bores were a broken ramrod and lots of cussing.

Here is mine, it's over 25 years old and kind of plain but it has taken its share of deer and small game. I shoot 40 grains 3F most of the time and 55 grains if I plan on deer or hog. It is not for sale. ET
