Thinking of making a run to Ft St Jean Baptiste

I have been thinking of making a run to Ft St Jean Baptiste but it is about 4 hrs away. Anyone have any input on it? Is it a place you can spend an hour, a day, or a week??

Any input or experience would be appreciated.

I have been many times and it and natchitoches are a place you can easily spend a day. Go out to the national historic site houses just south of town also. Some of my photos of the fort were used in a book on French outposts
