Besides all of the expertise, friendship and joking around that is available here, we got to meet one of the guys this weekend. Technutz, myself, and our wives were day-visitors at the Big Island rondy in Albert Lea, MN this past Saturday. By pre-arrangement, we met up with Sumtacks and some of his family and friends. This was only possible, and worked so easily, because we are members of this forum.
My wife got a hands-on lesson in various beads from Sumtacks and she was thrilled to learn about these older beads. She was able to buy beads with knowledgable guidance.
We also ran into many other rondy friends that we haven't seen since last Oct at the Big Muddy. Even though we have only been doing this a few years, this forum, like our rendezvous friends, have accepted us and make our lives more interesting and satisfying. What a great hobby and great people to be involved with! :thumbsup:
