See, this video points out something that concerns me about hunting with a smoothbore. As you can see, it took several shots and the microwave never did actually make it to the ground. Historically, the method for hunting deer, was for the hunter to get a ball into them any way they could and then trail the animal with dogs. The finish would often require the hunter mounting the animal and riding it, plunging a knife into vitals until the beast expired. The best descriptions of this I have found come from the memoirs of Mischack Browning and Phillip Tome. These are both available free online if you're interested.

I'm wondering here, watching the video, exactly how does one mount a microwave and where does one insert the knife?

Is there any real sport in hunting a microwave that isn't plugged in and operating? For that matter, is there any real sport in hunting a microwave that is plugged in? I mean isn't it a matter of just following the extension cord?

Assuming you get a ball into a live microwave, is it safe for the dogs to go pursuing it? It has a live current running through it.

. . . and I suppose the big question is: When you mount the microwave, is it supposed to be running? I'd think there'd be a problem with microwave leakaage.

I seem to recall hearing of one longhunter around the late 18th century who shot a microwave. Ignoring the warning from his Seneca companion he chased the fleeing machine until he caught it. Mounting the bucking machine he lost his rifle and had to rely on his knife. After finally managing to kill his quarry he dismounted only to find severe radiation burns on the inside of his thighs.
