Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
The Black Mountain Magnum used Musket Caps. It was a sidelock based on the New Englander design with a 1:28 barrel that would handle 3 pyrodex pellets.
They didn't have real great ignition with #11 caps. Think it had something to do with changes they made to the breechplug to accomodate the pellets. The lock spring was also heavier to keep the hammer from being blown back to halfcock. They were very good conical and sabot shooters, however.
They look like a New Englander with a black plastic stock...kind of ugly.
I think they also made a percussion Firestorm for awhile that used musket caps. Weird looking breech as I recall.
