i am thinking about getting a kit from tip curtis anyone have any information or reccomendations

He really doesn't sell "kits" but puts together all the parts you will need to build any style of gun you want. I have built a gun for a guy from parts from Tip and also built the gun they gave away on the Valley Agg a couple of years ago from parts from Tip. To sum it up- you can't beat him.If you call him , say "ol' 3 ball Hamblen sent me.

Tip is a good guy to do business with. He has a huge inventory and you will be hard pressed to need something he doesn't have in stock. He was very fast to ship once I placed an order but even better to go by his place if you are close enough to make the trip. I would not hesitate ordering from him again.

If Tip does not have it then no one can probably get it. He will not string out your order and hold your build up. If he is our of stock he will say so and recomend any option available.

:agree:

I have bought all the parts for well over a dozen rifles from Tip & have always had great business with him. I probably have enough to build 3-4 more here that came from him. I live in AL and I go to Ohio 3-4 times a year & I try to stop by each time. Believe me, if you ever are close by STOP there and see the inventory, you will not be sorry. It is a smorgasborg of parts, literally hundreds of barrels of all sizes...calibers...shapes...lengths...weights, hundreds of stocks, every lock imaginable, brass, iron, silver trim parts you can & cannot immagine....... & he will most likely have about 20-40 rifles in the rack that are built & another 20 he is building. If Tip don't have it, most likely you don't need it... ha ha ! His tele# 615-654-4445 call him before ya go to be sure he is not ar a rondy.
