lately Ive gotten the small caliber bug something terrible, specifically anything .32 cal. I know I have been on a buying frenzy recently, but I think I have amassed a substantial enough pile, and spent a small fortune . I have decided to lay off buying for a while, and just play with all the new toys. I have never been so obsessive compulsive before. So My apoligies to anyone else in the bidding wars and those who may be wondering where everything went, I will stop buying now so the rest of civilization has a chance to get a few also. sorry for the temporary inconvenience, You may resume your searches again.. :blah: :rotf: ( PS. It was someone else responsible for the ammo shortage, hopefully he runs out of steam soon also)

Thanks. Now I can get back at it. While waiting, I cast up hundreds of .311 RB, and maxi-balls for the Crockett.

So your the reason I couldn't find any deals online

I too had / still have the 32 cal illness, good thing I went to the Lapeer Mich. Show bright & early last week to get my 32 Crockett, I beat you to that one :blah:

Just to tempt you a tad more... :stir:

I have a .50 caliber, flintlock Traditions Shenandoah rifle with a 33½ inch barrel & double set triggers that is extremely accurate and puts PRBs, one after another, in tight, "touching" groups at 50 yards from a bench-rest.

I've had none of the "problems" others seem to have had with the Traditons products. Check this .32 caliber out at:

I'm a serious Crockett fan. Traditions did it right when they came up with that little rifle. Nearly $500 is a bit much, IMHO, but it's still one excellent rifle.

I have a Crockett and can't be happier. I just wish they had done a full length stock version as well.

Now... What are you going to say when a T.C. Seneca or Cherokee gives better groups for a whole lot less money? :blah:

Im In the process of finding that out for myself
at this point, I have at least one of each

I like the smaller calibers. The are a lot of fun during squirrell season. I have .32 and .36 that were part of CVA kit guns a few years back. I currently do not own a cartridge gun except an old .22 single shot from before S/N requirement. I have all the pieces to build a .40 but I will probable never build it. (Health problems) .32 uses .311rb with pillow ticking patch and around 25grPyrodex P. Good load in my gun. The .36 likes .350rb pillow ticking patch and 40gr P. In my guns these are safe and accurate loads. The only way to find what your guns will do is shoot!

ehh, at this point I have enough in 1-48 twist .32
thats the beauty of the cherokee/seneca, they have a 1-30 twist and that difference is what im working on now. but this may be a long undertaking as I dont get to shoot nearly as often as id like. Lately twice a week weather permitting seems like a good week.. too much work and not enough play time :cursing:

:hmm: My Crockett will keep 5 shots under an inch at 40 yards. "Better" in this situation is the ability to split a bullfrog hair into four equal strips. Is it even possible? :idunno:

thats better than anything I can achieve. at least so far. Im sure its more me than the rifle. I think its my inexperience with open sights. with a scope I can make a ragged hole. but none of these guns are scoped. im just determined to improve my technique or somehow improve through practice
