do you brown the barrel first and then put in touchhole liner or put liner in first and then brown or maybe it dont matter
 
Touch hole liner is the last thing I do on a gun. Brown first liner later. Of course there's always the chance I'm the only one that does it that way. :haha:
 
I think that is what I did on the last gun I browned, the liner hole was tapped so I put a greased bolt in it to protect the threads and serve as a "handle"
 
I go put it in, plug it with a tooth pic then brown the barrel.
 
Put in the liner, dress down to the same level as the barrel flat, then brown.
 
Same here ... install liner, file flush, plug the hole with toothpick, then brown.
