tough Love vs. Spanking

Most of America's populace thinks it very improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control our kids when they have one of "those moments".

One method that I found to be very effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.

They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our little car ride together.

I've included the photo below of one of my sessions, with our son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Its very effective!

And Child Protection Services should have no objections as long as you keep your speed below 100mph. :relax: Oh! Don't tell your kid to relax, he might let go.

Arilar....sometimes you need to have a little fun. Muzzleloading ain't all guns. :results:It is a way of life and finding out about the people you are conversing with is part of the adventure. :imo: So, why don't you send us a little about yourself....bet there has to be some laughter there....somewhere. :m2c: :master:  :blah:

I agree with Tipis. After wading through thread after thread of technical information and opinions on the different aspects of muzzleloading, it's nice to see something occasionally that's just plain humorous and fun. In fact, even when we're posting something that has specifically to do with muzzleloaders we often add humorous or unrelated quips just to keep things friendly. I think it adds tremendously to the comfortable "small town" feel of the Forum. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, I have no problem with it.

Muzzleloading Forum???General interest???????? Moderators please!!

Arilar,

You'll notice that there IS no moderator for the General Interest section. We can only edit & change those specific sections we have been given privileges for.

And no one would touch this section with a ten foot ram-rod. :haha:

Claude tries his best to keep the other areas focused, but this is our litterbox.

"All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy." - Ben Franklin.

See, goofing off is period correct!!

Captchee: we must have had the same father! There's an old saying about "Spank your child every day. You may not know what it's for, but he will." I really can't remember any spankings I got that I didn't deserve, but I sure remember some I deserved and didn't get. Graybeard :m2c:

Bob1961, Looks like you are on your way to Dixon's Muzzleloading Shop for the gun builders show. It appears you have a very anxious future muzzleloader there. What was he asking you to pick up for him or was he saying that he forgot his paper route money and that he would be right back. As far as tough love, I am sure it will be tough for your boy to accept that ml you had posted, but you will be in love with that new 45 cal custom made rifle from Slowpoke's raffle "IF" you win. Hopefully this makes your post pc for this forum.

Awwww.... you don't fool me. His hair isn't flying in the wind.

Still, I couldn't help but laugh when I first saw it. :peace:

Very Funny Bob,

Let me chime in with what God says reguardless of what the Government says,

Proverbs 13:24 He who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.

Chuck

Spare the rod, spoil the child.
Bob1961, I wonder if they could get the chariots up to 99 M.P.H. back in those biblical days :shocking:
