Can you desribe the method of cleaning with tow? And do you re-use it?
Thanks

Take whatever comes off the large wad and wind it around the worm. The amount of tow you wind on the worm will be determined by the size of your rifle's or smoothbore's bore. The worm is that corkscrew looking gizzmo that you will attach to your ramrod, or wooden cleaning rod. Here, I dip the whole assembly into a bucket of water and proceed to scrub the bore of my rifle. When you've scrubbed a few times up and down, withdraw the tow and worm, unwind the tow from the worm, rinse it off in the bucket of water, and start all over again. When you can't tell whether or not the tow is cleaning anymore, get a fresh hunk of tow and repeat the process.

Yes, you can reuse tow. Just dry it out, and use it again. If it doesn't seem to be doing the job as well as it once did, dry it, and set it aside as tinder. It works pretty well.

I hope this helps.
