I thought saw a post on where to get Tow?? Must of got deleted, cause I sure can't find it!! :hmm:
I just wanted to let ya'll know all TOW ain't the same.. There two basic types.
"Flax" Tow and "Hemp" Tow. Flax Tow is fairly soft and light in color compaired to Hemp Tow, which is darker and coarser. Flax Tow cleans well and makes good tender. Hemp tow being coarser will last a little longer and I think does a "slightly" better job cleaning, but will NOT catch a spark. Mixed with a pinch of patch lube and rolled into a bore sized ball, Flax Tow makes a super eazy to load and efficient over the powder wad.
Both clean(I think) better than cloth patches. :v

Silver Shuttle in Memphis used to sell beautiful big & long twisted hanks of it, but their ad is no longer in MuzzleBlasts and I can't find them on the Internet. :(

I bought $20 worth 15 years ago and it filled two shoe boxes. Still working off that batch. :haha:

You want tow roving. Used to be 3 bags lunch bags worth for 9 dollars, but that has been a couple of years.
