Here's how a wild boars field dressing is done and how it is cooked:
We make a camp fire and place the boar on top of it and rotate it to get it evenly burnt. Then we scrape off the remaining hair using a blunt knife and once again we repeat the process of burning the boar slightly and take the boar off the fire and using a sharp knife and water we scrape off the remaining hair. Then we split open the boar and clean all the internal parts using a knife. Then we cut the meat in the size of an approximate 1 inch. Finally we fill a big vessel with meat ,which can contain up to 10 kg's of meat ;and cook it up to 10 minutes without adding water placing the lid above the vessel. Then we add 50 grams of turmeric powder and salt, allow it to boil for another 15 minutes and until the flesh is cooked take a frying pan and dry fry half kg coriander powder, 250 grams of red chilli powder and 250 grams of black pepper powder (some hunter's add blood found in the chest cavity of the boar while cleaning it). At last we add this mixture to the meat and stir it for 5 minutes using a wooden stick.

quite a feat, and sounds tasty. definitely a dish that would not be seen around this region of the USA.
we generally roast the whole boar on a spit above a hardwood fire for several hours, around 8-12 depending on size.
