I'm in the market for a .50 percussion belt pistol, to be carefully zeroed and used for hunting. Anybody here have any experience with these? Feedback woiuld be appreciated.

Many years ago I made an all steel under-hammer in .50 smooth bore that would drive a ball through the door of a Holden car and through the lining, the inner panel and leave a huge dent in the opposite door. Could never get one to go right through. I hasten to add that I used to experement on dumped cars at the local rubbish tip. Above 60 grains of FFg didn't seem to make any difference except to the kck. I may have a drawing somewhere.

I have a Traditions KY and would hesitate to use to for any thing other than a kill shot on a deer that was on the ground at my feet and still kicking. Only rated for 35 grns of 3f and prb. Also beyond 15-20 yrds, good luck!
