I'm planning on picking one up in 50 cal this week at the blackpowder store in st clair county . It a percussion, but I would think you could just replace the lock with a flintlock. They have three of four.

Some of the CVA guns have pretty intricate patent breeches. It’s not always a direct switch to convert one to flint. I did help convert a caplock Bobcat to flint once, but maybe I shouldn’t have. Didn’t know any better back then.

I text chatted with Muzzle-Loader.com about an InvestArms Hawkins carbine kit and he indicated that they're going to be short of everything until a couple of big shipments land in the March/April timeframe. May be the same with that.

I purchased a Traditions 50 cal kentucky rifle from the Kenockee trading post yesterday. I'm looking forward to building it in the fall. I realized how many differences there are between the the percussion and flintlock. I'm leaving it percussion, and possibility change it from single trigger to double, definitely adding more brass!! This my third cap lock, and my second kit. I've never really studied the flintlock until now. I am going to collect all the things I want for the build before I start. My next one is definitely going to be a trade gun. Thank you very much for your input. I appreciate it.
