Thanks for the help guys, running a spit patch between shots really helped. I actually went through half a can of 777, and 1/4 can of pyrodex in one day. I live 30 miles from the range, and its rained so much I wanted to get all three rifles sighted in (shot from 10:00 to 5:30), stupid I know.

My question is this I need to know the bullet drop to 100 yards on the following loads........which were the most accurate in my guns.

80 Grains pyrodex RS round ball (gun one)
80 Grains 777 240 grain sabot (second gun)
85 Grains 777 240 grain sabot (third gun)

thanks again

There are too many missing pieces for me to give you a quick answer... but hopefully this should help point you in the right direction.

There are some ballistics programs available (used to be some shareware/freeware versions available also) that can "calculate" the trajectory based on the ballistic coefficient of the projectile, the velocity, the projectile's weight, the metrological conditions, etc... and provide you with an answer.

However, the answer you get is "calculated", and please remember that there are other variables that could make the "real" trajectory be something quite different. It does give you a starting place; and in that respect, it is beneficial to use.

Perhaps some of the other forum users know where you can find a ballistics program???

Shoot safely and wisely,
