Is this a new event Brett? it does not ring a bell? still at Bryces place?

I believe this is the 2nd or 3rd year for this one. Still at the Mitchell's, along the river.
As close to home as it is for both of us, its a nice day outing!
They do a blanket if you want to play along. fairly low key, they do have a primitive camp area for friday and saturday night.

Hope to see you there!

I think I will do my best to make it Brett, I would like to meet you & see some folks I have not seen for a couple of years and do need to shoot more judging from the last outing, I am rcomending a tral walk with garbage can lids at 50 paces...(VBG), is it a show and go or pre register?

It will be a "show and Go" sat morning. I will see if they have any fliers that I can forward to you. I'm gunna do the "day" thing and not camp, but possibly go back up sunday morning maybe.

I have met other forum members there, so it is a good thing!

brasilikilt, bakeoven bill, 41aeroconca just to name a few.
It is really nice when you can put a face and personality to a forum members name!

I look forward to the pleasure TG!

Yeah, if only it wasn't during mule deer season. I might make it out for a day if I fill my tag early. Otherwise I'll be on the dry side.

I'm just try'n to drum up some players!
so I guess the challange is for all the oregon and sw washington players to come on down! open invitation, our gate 'taint closed to strangers!

1st weekend in October, primitive camping only,(motels within a reasonable distance)
something to do if you're not out chasing Bambi!

I plan on going out for the day to shoot my smoothbore. I did not get to go last year, but that club always has fun shoots so I'm looking forward to going.
I'd be happy to see other forum members, I like to see & read posts from local folks on here.
I have a question for tg. Did you shoot at the O.T.F Rendezvous in Molalla on Sat. Aug.18 ?
TVG

"I have a question for tg. Did you shoot at the O.T.F Rendezvous in Molalla on Sat. Aug.18 ?'

Yeah, I was in the first group out, I was shooting the dark French fusil, the gang there call me Trapper

Made it back from the dry side which was actually pretty wet some days. No deer for me this year, but did reduce the coyote population by two.
Should be out Saturday to say Hi! and burn some powder. Think I'll be wearing the boat cloak to stay warm, and I hope somebody has a fire going as I still can't light my pipe with flint and steel yet.

Well,
reading all these posts since I bounced it back to the top....
lets make it a point to meet and shake hands!

would totally enjoy putting faces to names!

Brett who will be doing the day trip as well!

How did the shoot go guys? I had all my gear ready to go but the Mrs. pulled some ligaments in her back and I felt the need to stay close to home as she can hardly get out of bed...missed a gun morning for deer hunting today also, so much for the best layed plans, hope all had a great time, that is a nice place to shoot&camp maybe I will see those who shoot at Old Beavers in Mollalla in the next few months, deer hunting is a priority in Oct-Nov. but i hope to get up there more than I have in the last year or so.

If memory serves they had 20 people signed up for the trail walk on Saturday. It was a fun time. The light rain didn't cause too much trouble and it cleared off by lunch time. Gave me an excuse for not shooting well.
We do need to do something about Brett's kit. It was just too damn clean and white. Might have to organize a mud puddle accident.

"Might have to organize a mud puddle accident."

Give him a new pair of soled mocs and push....Glad there was a good turn out, maybe I can make the Feb event if they still have it.

oh ya, we are doing "cabin fever", 1st weekend in february.
TG, sorry I did not get the opp to meet ya, but did get to meet TVG! nice guy!unfortunately, you guys shoot 3rd sat in molalla, same day of the month as us out at flying M, DARN!

Bakeoven Billwas there, as well as some of our reulars. A GREAT time was had!
I gander the low turnout to 1. the weather and 2. deer season!

maybe in feb we will get to meet? or any 3rd sat!
sounds like I struck a deal for a fowler/trade gun, so will be making the move to "true" muzzleloaders in the near future!

MAN!

I am so bummed out about not having made ANY rendezvous this year! I was thinkin about you all last weekend, and was really hoping to give Bakeoven a chance to shoot his resurrected Brown Bess.....

Hopefully I can at least make Cabin Fever, but who knows?
At least next time you all see me at an event I will have plenty of new pieces of clothing and kit to show off.

I'm glad to hear it all went well!

Iain
