Trigger guard

I hope this is the right place to post this....
I have an old Ultra-Hi 50 cal. made by Miroku of Japan (made Browning Citori and Charles Dalys) that is surprisingly excellent. Recently, I decided to convert the single trigger to double set. A T/C Renegade trigger fit well, but the trigger guard isn't long enough to accommodate the set trigger. :idunno: The distance between mounting screw holes is 7", offset .25" front and back, guard is .5" wide, trigger opening must be approx. 3" from front screw hole. Can you help, please?

There are meny but my "go-to's" are Pecatonica and Track of the Wolf. Both are experts, helpfull, and have what I want/need most of the time. One of them can sell you a new trigger guard probably near $25.00.

I recommend Track of the Wolf. Their paper catalog is worth it's weight in gold as all of the parts are shown "life size" so you can determine exactly what you require.

As the guy's are sayin you'll need to look at the available "Build" triggerguards to find one.
You'll not find a "drop in" that'll just fit right in there.
But before you go looking does the double set triggers you installed actually work?
The lock needs a "fly" in the tumbler for a DSDT trigger to work.

Yep, I know about the fly in the tumbler. All works as it should, only problem is the trigger guard. I was hoping to find one that'd fit without mod, but I guess that's not an option.
I thank you all for your responses. Guess the only things to do are cut and grind or cast one myself. Either way, it'll be done. Thanks again.

What are you talking about? Track's catalog is filled with page after page of trigger guards that will likely work. You can't make one that will work that can't be found there. At least peruse their web-site. Use this link and just scroll down until you see the heading "Triggerguards":

You might have to open up the mortises in your stock to accomodate the returns on any guard you choose or file the returns to fit your existing mortises, that's it.

Casting brass is not a simple endeavor. If you can't adapt an existing guard to fit then likely you won't be able to make your own.
