Top of the morning, gentlemen...
Having built a few trade guns, I'm now into a flint rifle...first time I've inletted a double-set trigger. My question: in a perfect world, at what point on the trigger bar (bar that snaps up when the trigger's pulled) should the lock's hammer release bar hit? Middle? toward the forward end?
(Sorry if this is confusing...not sure of my terminology...)
Appreciate the help...

Celt,
I"m assuming that your double sett trigger has a back lash adjustment screw between the two triggers?? That is where you want to center you lock sear lever. That way, either trigger will fire your lock. Front for hunting if you will and rear for target or sett trigger work.

Hope that helps

I inlet the DST trigger so the adjusting screw is in line w/ the sear bar and don't use any other parameters. Some may vary a little from this relationship, but the above alignment has always yielded satisfactory trigger pulls, set and unset....Fred

Exactly what I needed to know...thank you both very much, gentlemen.
