had my lock and trigger in at the same time after i made sure the lock hammer cleared the stock on top....and the lock fires with the trigger set but not set....i can feel the triggers want to move back and down when i pull the trigger unset....no holes drilled or tapped yet....would this stop this when drilled....i thought i had the triggers in the right spot fer unset shooting....i think i put the triger pivot pin to close to the sear bar....if i shorten the trigger bar up front to move it up so i can use the trigger unset will this work....i'll have a gap in the rear trigger in let though....i can have the trigger bar welded to add metal in the back to fill the inlet............bob

Put a couple of small "C" clamps on the triggerplate (fore & aft) to hold it & try it. You may need to cut a small rounded piece to the contour of the wrist to keep from denting the wood there. But that should make it solid enough to test & see if it works.

did the clamping and it still didn't work....so i shortened the front and clamped it back in and it works now....just have to add on to the back of the trigger bar with some welding which will fill the gap i had there before i shortened it....so it will be a 2 fold problem solver....thanks BD6..............bob

General rule is, on most rifles with double set triggers. You lift both triggerbars & form a V and you want that V to be where the sear bar is.

found that out ....lol....but don't remember reading it in "building the PA longrifle" by dixon..............bob

For future reference, it is on the first page of Trigger Installation, (Page #64), and it is Item 4 referencing trigger installation.

Good luck
