trying to build a 20 mm muzzle loader

i have a 20 mm barrel and would like to try to make a muzzle
loader out of it any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks bryan

 

How long is the barrel and what is the twist rate?

Is this an extra M61A1 Vulcan barrel by any chance?

Are you concidering getting it rifled to a slower twist or leaving it at 1-24?

Oh, it would be different...

The fast twist would work for a 20mm inline barrel, if you are thinking round balls, you need to slow it down to something like 1-150 thereabouts...

With the extra barrel length from cutting you can make a matching 20mm pistol... :winking:

i was goning to call lee to get a mold made

 

I have to remove the chrome and do the mechine work and get it rechromed anyone know of a good person for that task thanks Bryan

Have a 12 gauge round ball barrel on order now. Looking forward to some wumph on both ends. It's going to be my tree stand/wall gonne. GC

Try checking out www.jt-bullet-moulds.co.uk. I have had several moulds made, .710 up to 1.230. He does excellent work.
