Hi all. I’m trying to find out as much as I can about this rifle. The bore is 5/8” or .625. Barrel length is 40 3/16 and 42 1/4 to the end of the tang on the butt stock. I just sent an email to the Musee D’Art Et Industrie in France. This weapon is very light and well appointed so I reckon it was a sporting rifle.

Please take ALL horizontal pics of this gun and include full-length shots, too. Many of us here, me included, have got old cranky necks that don't bend too good, y'know?

TFoley - I understand. I’ll see what I can find. I posted close up photos hoping that someone might recognize the makers stamp on top of the barrel, and perhaps recognize the Lamont’s St. Etienne on the side plate. I figured the inlays and such might help narrow it down too.
