They are very nice rifles and have won several shooting matches throughout the World.
The are the only "backaction lock" rifles that I know of that are produced by a modern company. These locks are very "fast".
The barrel keys are retained by small screws which permit them to be removed from the barrel but not from the stock which is a nice feature.
I used to have two of them, one in .45 and one in .50 caliber. I sold the .50 because I thought at the time that I had too many guns in that caliber (now I wish I still had it).
The .45 cal rifle I kept has a 1 inch octagon barrel so it could be called a bit heavy, and I mounted a tang sight on it so it can't be used in most black powder matches but, that's all right with me. It is very accurate.
Is it worth the money? Well, let's put it this way: If I could find a excellent used one for $300 I would buy it but I don't think I would pay the full Suggested List price for one.
