Have just got a Tulle kit with steel furniture. Is the barrel finish best blue, brown or white?

Thanks!

The finish is just a matter of preference. Bare steel requires more care to prevent rust. I've always loved rust bluing, but lately I've been browning them. Both are very durable finishes. Rust bluing might be a little more durable than rust browning, but the good part is if you get a little rust on a browned barrel, it's not as noticeable.

Historical speaking they would be white, polished to one degree or another, many tone the metal down with naval jelly or a bit of browning and wool down to get a grey look if you want the gun to have a used appearance rather han a new look, like if you have a 1730 gun and are doing a F&I warpersona.
