Several years ago I traded for a reproduction Tulle 20 ga.This smoothbore has no markings on it at all and the only information that I could get from the original owner was that it was made by Wilderness Arms a company in Indiana.Has anyone ever heard of this company?I have no problem with the gun it is well made and functions well. :thanks:

I believe WA was the outfit that took over the Hatfield line they are now called Deer Creek I had one of their Hatfield types and it was a well made gun for the money. They did not offer a Tulle at that time.

Had a southern mountain rifle made by them. I believe they called it the "mountaineer". I've seen some half stock hawkin style kits made by Deer Creek on Auction Arms but no early guns. I liked my rifle just not pc for the time period I was interested in. If you ever want to sell the tulle let me know.

They are, or were, the makers of the old H&A underhammer and other muzzleloaders. They also are the current makers of the "Mowery" guns. Up until a year or so back they also made 3 versions of the Hatfield rifles under the names "Cumberland", "Mountaineer" and "Prairie".

The "Cumberland" was a straight copy of the Hatfield or the guns Pedersoli is currently making as "Frontier" and "Blue Ridge", the latter is the same gun they make for Cabelas. The "Mountaineer" is almost the same gun but with hardware to make it look like a Southern Mountain guns. The "Prairie Rifle" was a smaller & shorter version that aped the Lemans but in percussion only. Hope this helps.

Well, I live about 10 miles from St.Clairsville in Mt.Pleasant.Infact,My mother lives in St.C and was an elementary teacher before she retired.
Hello neighbor,
Bill Lollini

Bill have you ever been to Ft. Henry days at Oglebay Park? Mt. Pleasant is a neat community. We should try to get together and make some smoke sometime.

I've been to Fort Henry Days a couple of times. Many years ago I belonged to the Hidden Valley Longhunters which was a a great muzzleloading club near Colerain before it folded up.Then I went to all the rendezvous of the Ohio Valley Independent Buckskinners which really put on some nice events for about ten years and then the property was strip mined. Now I really enjoy going to the Easterns and have gone to quite a few.I am not going to make The Old Nothwest near Malvern due to work(June 24-July 2)which should be great.Call David Guy 330-454-2078 if you are interested.Someday we will have to get together.
