I'm planning a turkey hunting trip next week, and I'm taking a ML shotgun for the first time.
I'm trying to figure out how to carry everything I need in a small belt pouch of some sort, and I've come up with this list so far:

Pre-measured powder and shot (5 loads)
Flints
Screwdriver for replacing flints
Cleaning patches
Card wads
Primer with 4F powder

Can anybody add anything else I might need, and does anybody have any ideas on how to carry this stuff in a small-as-possible belt pouch of some sort?
I'll have all my usual stuff at camp, so I'm just needing some suggestions on stuff to carry, and how to carry it in the woods. Hopefully, I'll just need one shot to kill a turkey, and I'll be done for that day, but I'm gonna carry extra stuff just in case.

I always carry a leather flint wallet, which includes a couple extra flints, a stubby screwdriver for changing flints and also a shotgun loading tip, ball puller (for thick overpowder wads), patch worm and adaptors to attach all to my ramrod. I find it much easier to load with a proper shotgun tip, and the puller/worm are pretty handy for when you mess up when loading. I also put a couple of alcohol swabs (individually wrapped ones from pharmacy) in the wallet, to make quick work of pan/frizzen cleaning and final swabbing of the bore if needed. I carry extra wads and shot cards in my possibles bag, but you can carry a 2-3 shot supply in a 35mm film cannister. A handful each of both pre-wetted and dry cleaning patches can be carried in tiny zip-loc bags in a shirt pocket. For my extra shot load(s) I use the plastic speed-loaders with slip-off end caps. They are meant for shot in one end and powder in the other, but I bring one with pre-measured shot in both ends so I have a handi source for 2 extra shots.

As for the 4f priming powder, try priming with your main powder charge. I have used both 3f and 2f for priming with excellent results and it saves one item to carry in the field.

Oh... and as for other essentials don't forget a turkey call or three. And toilet paper. :haha:

Not really a PC kit, but it all works well for me. :v

Thanks Baron!
I think I got everything rounded up and a pouch to put it all in.
I'll have PLENTY of turkey calls, and I never go anywhere without PLENTY of TP!! :haha:

Take a handmade call with you too if you have one: Wingbone or a slate. Good stuff right there.

Good luck and take some pics.
