TVLL lock identification

I recently acquired this lock and I am quite certain it was purchased as a back up lock for a Centermark Fusil de Chasse. I noticed most tulle locks are stamped TVLLE, this one is TVLL.
By the stampings on the back I'm guessing it is a Davis lock , possibly made for Centermark. Any advice ?

Spelling for the 'Tulle' armory was actually both methods and I believe in the book by Rusel Bouchard he has an explanation thereof, but I don't have the book handy.

Davis locks aren't marked, but I have seen that exact lock before on other finished fuzees. Note that 'A TVLLE' was also used.

The "D" mark on the inside is a R E Davis mark, and that lock is this one:

Ahhhhh, I had looked at the Davis site yesterday and didn't see any option to have a lockplate stamped.

That said, if I were a builder (I have already built and stamped my own FdC) I myself would NOT use their TVLL stamping ... it appears way too modern!

It’s a Davis lock re-marketed as a Tulle. Been around since the 80’s without the TVLLE stamp.

Thank you, so my assumption is correct. He ordered a spare lock when he ordered his gun.
