So, after patiently, sort of, waiting for the USPS to deliver 4 days late, I'm sitting here at a computer trying to come up with new/different words to describe a knife and sheath made the 'old fashioned way', and a vendor that treats you like a friend. I have to admit that I'm having trouble because it's far too uncommon these days to have this kind of service from an online vendor, and there are so many other plaudits on this very page. It just seems a bit wrong. I'd prefer to shake the man's hand, and thank him because this way seems so impersonal.
The knife...it's just perfect. Sold as a 'Mini Roach Belly', I'm not exactly sure what that is, but it's a perfect size for a utility knife. It's on my belt right now, and when it isn't cutting patches it will be used for the more mundane things of modern life. The scales are gorgeous, and the blade is sharp...really sharp. I also like how the bluing from the tempering is left on the blade. There isn't much bare metal to rust. The sheath is as nice as the knife, and every bit as utilitarian. I'll continue to carry my cheap pocket folder to use as a 'hammer' just so I don't sully this beauty.
What really sets this whole transaction apart from the typical online sale is Dave's passion for 1...what he makes, and 2...his customer's satisfaction. The man really cares about what he's doing, and how you like it. You can buy from lots of online companies that do a good job, but it's impersonal. That isn't the case with Two Feathers.
I'll buy from him again whether it's a knife, or any other muzzle loading accessory I might want, and will be confident I'll be as happy as I am with this purchase.
Thanks again Dave!
