Hello, I have a Uberti 1858 Remington NMA Sheriff’s model and I am looking for a bullet seating plunger for conicals. Very good to excellent condition. PM or email with any details. Thanks

What is the difference between the plunger that comes with the pistol and a bullet seating plunger?

They must be busy, ask for the Gunsmith.
I just got off the phone with the gunsmith. at Taylor’s…He said he is not aware of Uberti having a replacement part available. He said folks will either modify the existing one or even fit one from a Pietta 1860 Colt Army. He’s never done that before so he didn’t know what it entailed…So I guess Mr. Weinenger from the Guns of the West videos lucked out by obtaining one…

Thanks for the information, gunsmith at Taylor's is a nice guy and has helped me in the past. He did a one day turn around for me on a pistol.

Coat one of your bullets with wax/oil/grease put a dab of epoxy or hot glue in the seater that you have and lower it on the greased bullet.

After it sets you will have the perfect seater, and you can change it later if needed.

I did that years ago using wax melted from a candle.
