Hello everyone!

Let me start off by thanking everyone - This is by FAR the most helpful forum I have ever been on and wanted to extend my gratitude!

That being said, it's time for another question: I have a Uberti 1858 New Army Revolver kit that I've started to work on. I'm really hoping someone can point me towards some tutorials or directions.

I get that I need to remove machining marks, blue, etc. etc. but I'm a little lost in the details. Worst case, I'll post my questions as they come up but I thought I'd start by searching around for a walk through/guide/tutorial first.

Thanks in advance!

I, for one, would be interested in photos of your kit in its current state, as well as along the way during its build process...

Here's where I'm at so far:
Machining marks have been removed and all surfaces currently sanded to 120 grit.
Brass trigger guard and rosewood grips have been rough fit and sanded.
Modified aft grip corner to resemble more of a bird skull grip.

There were kits before Beretta took over Uberti, but it is news to me that midway has them.
How much was it,if I might ask? They are great shooters. Are you sure you didn't buy a
work in progress, offered as a kit? Those grips look modified.(you said you did some).
Atleast they do not geehaw with those I have had --maybe not.
Great build so far.
