I have two ramrods made by Uncle Mikes, one three piece for rifle and another one piece for pistol. both are very well made and, of course, no longer made. As an aside, if you ever find some tool or article of equipment you truly like, for darn sure buy a few as it will surely be either "improved" to the detriment of the piece or discontinued.

Anyway, does any company make a ramrod that is threaded in the same fashion so I can extend the length of my rifle rod?

Can't help with a company name. House of Muskets is your most likely source however.
Personally, I don't like the idea of a jointed rod for rifles. The joints could present weakness.
Or, you could buy Delrin blanks and make your own from brass tips.

So true rifleman joints are weak spots. I have made brown fiberglass rods for over twentyfive years and out of over one hundred the only one that ever broke was one stepped from 3/8 to 5/16th with a piece of tapered brass as the joint to replace a tapered rod. It was broke at the joint in shipping! By the time I absorbed the shipping costs both ways I lost money on the order!

I have been using these rods for the range for over 20 years now. Also use the pointed rod for cleaning modern shotguns.

The 3-piece rod has very large threads, so I am not too terribly concerned about it failing. Should it do so, I will replace it with something else, until then.....

BTW, I do have other rods, delrin and wood both. I simply like this rod.

Thanks for the suggestions
