This a spectacular M1836 R. Johnson, dated 1842. It has been coated wiith some kind of preservative hence the brown color. The touch hole has NO burn and the bore is mirror bright. The frizzen has few strike marks. The cartouches and the edges are sharp. I figure this was the last of the M1836 and was arsenaled as soon at came from maker. Not many around like this one.
