noticed almost all the copy repro guns turned out from spanish factories carry a 700 kpg or 700 kg proof mark. Both are interchanchable and equate to a tad under 10,000 psi proof. currious a 20 gauge shotgun what load datta say rounds out to a 6-7,000 psi load?

Some new bp modern fadangles carry rhe same 700 kg proof mark and suggest up to 150 grain bp charges pellets. How can that be thats in the neighborhood of 20-30,000 psi 3 times the spanish proof? maybe im wrong?

Can someone enlighten me with more experience to any safty concerns>?

my 20 gauge bp shotgun I just bought bares this stamp and I plan to keep all my fingers. Whats a good safe workable load? which developes say 7,000 psi max

Black powder shotgun loads typically run to rather low max pressures. My old Lyman first edition Black Powder Handbook lists no 20 ga. load exceeding 7,000 LUP. But they also don't list the 1 1/2 oz. loads I've seen listed on this forum. To be fair I must say those loads are mostly being used in heavy barrel fowlers or smooth rifles.
In a light shotgun you probably won't want to exceed 1 1/8 oz. anyhow. Match that up with an equal volume of powder and you'll have a safe load that will do about anything you could expect of a shotgun.
Congratulations on being a safe and savvy shooter
