Unusual Liegi pistol

Had seen few of this single and double barrel derringers all of which had short small caliber barrels. This guy on the contrary got long barrel and large caliber. Stamped Liegi proof mark on the side and VG10 on under side of the barrel

interesting to have barrell that long with no way to sight it? I suspect that he was looking for more velocity/power but still for a close point shot?

That long barrel would be good to parry a knife attack with after its one shot.
