i am confused, do you use the board to tote the ball and patch and then push them into your hand and load like normal, or do you put the board on top of your muzzle, hope it is lined up well, and short start it through the board?

The latter. line it up short start it in.
if the block is loaded right, they self align!

My board is countersunk, and centers itself over the muzzle, then I just push the patched ball into the muzzle with the short starter. :v

I make my ball boards thin enough for a portion of the ball to protrude out the back, so as to readily center in bore at the muzzle, then just press in with RR to start.

If your board isn't countersunk to line upwith your bore. I place 1/8inch spacers under the edge of the board then load, This lets the ball protrude about 1/8 inch and they will self alline with your bore. Short start or Ram rod and you are ready to go.

i load mine on a folded towel on my work bench and push them flush with top with my finger, that way they stick out the bottom with the patch bout 1/8" :v ........bob

got it, awesome guys, thanks for the info. guess i got something to do tonight while the kid is asleep!!

Besides their practical use in hunting, they serve a great purpose in paper matches.

At the last shoot the guy next to me complained that I had shot his target as there was 2 holes in his target. I told him that I had shot once and had one hole in my target, then I showed him my bullet board and there was one ball missing.

He muttered that he guessed he could not count.

I started ML hunting 3 months ago here in GE and was not familier with the handling of the ML under field conditions. Now I have trained it whenever outside and it worked pretty well with the bullet board.

i finally got them holes driled out in a fat board, and then chop sawed out the correct thickness. worked ok, wish i had a bandsaw. After i grind it down and finish it i will post pics. the balls come out like they should now. thanks for you advice all.
