Don't imagine you'd get much of a report out of pellets unless you really packed a lot of wadding on top of them.
Loose real black powder is a lot cheaper and I believe it will give you a much more satisfying "bang for yor buck" (sorry, couldn't resist the pun :haha: ).
duds just tried one got nothing but fizz, used 2 wades and some cornmeal now i have to clean, i think you should stay with powder, take a look see at civilwarnews.com their might be some tips to help you.
