I just received 10 of the 12 issues from 1948 of MuzzleBlasts. There were/are no color pics but the content is very interesting. I never expected to find any issues this old. If it is ok I will share some photos of the for sale ads in them.
A Spencer carbine could be had for $22.00, a Colt 1851 Navy for $17.50, or a Rogers & Spencer for $25.00. I guess those amounts were a lot of money in 1948.
 
Dad told me in 1946 he worked for a QUARTER a day! Dairy farm.
The cover price on these magazines, obviously sold on newsstands, is .20.
These issues are marked volume IX so evidently MuzzleBlasts magazine publishing began in 1939. I hope to find more issues, any year.

Today, I found a bunch more issues of MuzzleBlasts magazine.
Issues from 1953 thru 1983 but missing some.

These two, May 1977, and March 1982 are duplicates. The first person to PM me their name & address can have them.
