Hey gents,

Did my share of shootin in St Johnsberry VT yesturday at the Wabanaki Run. This is a primative biathlon associated with the Smugglers Notch biathlon. A mile course on wood snow shoes and shootin at hangin steel targets. Nine shots in all, I only managed to hit six. Any way, great fun I hope some of you other guys made it up there to shoot. Let me know if you did.

On another topic, I chatted with some of you guys some time ago on this forum about some of us northern New England guys getting together. The idea of an informal weekend rondy was floated so I thought it would be a good idea to bring it up again now that winter is starting to loosen its grip. I could check with the directors of the club I belong to to see if they might be willing to allow us to camp on club property. Get back to me if interested and we can see if we can make it work.

Talk to ya soon

Don

Hello Don, I was also at the Wabanaki shoot yesterday. Although I shot clean my time wasn't too good. Being an old geezer I don't run :p -not even across the street for free beer. In case you don't know, there is another biathalon in Dalton NH in a couple of weeks.

Hey squire john,

Like you I'm not one to run much either. Glad to know you were there. Don't know what time you were there but if it was mid day I was the fella with the skunk on his head. Any how, can you tell me more about the Dalton event? I may try to make it.

Thanks

Don

Yes Don I do remember seeing you. I was wearing brown knee breeches, a light orange& black shirt and green workmans cap - short gray beard and eye glasses.

The Dalton shoot is new this year and has the same format as the St. J shoot, cost, 9 targets. 4 sta etc. It's on March 13 & 14. It's where they hold cowboy shoots - the contact person is Guy Welch 802-433-1353. Good luck if you go. I don't know if i will or not.
