My unit has a similar Long Range Musket. It's quite an attention getter. That seems to be a fair price if it comes with cleaning accessories.

We use a 240 to 300 grains or there abouts for our blank loads. We have heavy. carriage to support it so he recoil is manageable. We have fired a ball but I don't remember the load. One inch lead balls are hard to find.

Silly question, would fishing weights of the correct diameter work?
Most types of wall gun fired large shot such as English size SSG, LG which averaged 9 round lead balls to the oz .The round or conical was mostly used on the Man Of War sailing ships for blasting out the enemy rigging .

Mike the late owner shown in the picture was a purveyor of fine muzzleloaders. His life collection is being sold off one at a time on gunnutz under the blackpowder section rwnblack is selling his estate .
Someone is selling this locally ,would sure be fun to play with,97cal wall gun made from rifle shoppe parts

A 0.970" bore is a 4 gauge ball or 4 balls to the pound or 4 ounces.
Well according to the Font of All Knowledge, aka Wikipedia, a four gauge aka four-bore is 1.052, which would make a .970 ball just under .10 the bore size. It lists .976 as 5 Gauge. 
So I don't know... tossing 4 ounces of lead or 3.2 ounces of lead probably isn't going to matter too much to the folks on the receiving end!
Now if that lone ball bouncing among the enemy soldiers doesn't protect the flank of the artillery battery...., (I wonder how thick the trunk of the average hardwood has to be to take a full hit and not get knocked down) ,....and you have to go to anti-personnel mode,
#4 buckshot at four ounces will give you 84 pellets a tad bigger than .22
#1 Buckshot at four ounces will give you 44 pellets of .30 caliber
and the old favorite #00 buckshot at four ounces will give you 32 pellets of .33 caliber...which is 2.66x the amount the standard 12 gauge defense load shoots....
