I turned this box from a nice piece of walnut and slice of horn.

Dave: I found those compasses on amazon.com. I'll look up the source and post it. They're inexpensive - about $6.00. I bought a half dozen a couple of years ago. They're a nice size to work with - about 2" in dia.

Thanks, everyone for the nice compliments. Most encouraging.
I gave that compass to a good friend last weekend. He's a superb gun maker and craftsman. He inspired me to try making stuff (and gives me his wood scraps).
