Where can I get a good price on a Ruger Old Army with adj sights, blue or SS?
Frank

Both www.MidwayUSA.com and www.Buffaloarms.com have them in their catalogs. I would give them a call ASAP as Ruger has discontinued them, at least for a while, and I would expect them to get scarce and pricier. There are probably many other suppliers out there, just do a search for Ruger Old Army. Dixie Gun Works may also have them. You could also post in the "Firearms Wanted" forum here under the classified ads. Good luck! Emery

I went to a gun show last weekend saw 2, 1 was $500 with holster, the other was $375 with box and never used, but looked like it had had a few brithdays.
But were in good shape.

I got mine a little over a year ago for $300 and it's stainless off of Gunbroker.com. Haven't seen that kinda deal in a while. There are deals there in blue and stainless, you just have to watch and wait for them. Patience pays off with Gunbroker if you're looking for something in particular.

welcome to the Forum you are starting off as I did with pistols first. Sorry can't steer you towards the best buy on a ROA, been awhile since I checked the sale sites. Good Luck!

If not here or other sites put up try the Cow Boy shooting sites they like them a lot. fred :hatsoff:

Thanks. I found one on the Ruger Forum. How do I go about the transaction to make sure I get the gun as described with out geting riped off? :hmm:

Frank, I'd give the seller a call and make sure that you have a 3 day, no shooting inspection period.

Is there any gun shows in your area? 2 weeks ago I went to the roaming gun show in Grand Rapids and saw 2 rugers. ! was 500 and included hholster, powder tin, caps. The other was 375 and just includedc it's box. Both looked in good condidtion to me too bad I didn't have an extra 375 that day.
These gun shows roam around Mich and return about every 3 months. I het the Grand Rapids one and the Kalamazoo one.

The new Cabela store near here has 2 used ROAs at almost $600 each. I was going to sell mine for $375 but I think I will hang on to it for a while.

Yes, the pair of ROAs has been relisted on GunBroker. Keep one and sell the other for a small profit.

What frame is the Old Army made on? What after market grips, and trigger parts will fit it.

the Blackhawk .45. identical and the Blackhawk came after the ROA. Bill loved the ROA.

Well...I have both And I cannot see how they are "identical" at all. The grip frame and the barrel are likely identical, and the trigger internals are Old Model design. Everything else is unique.
