Wanting percussion CVA single shot ideas and pics

When it comes to BP I am no novice . Got my first TC Hawken kit in 50 cal back in the mid 70's. Hooked up on an inline till I got bored with it. I handgun hunt with 2 TC Contenders with an assortment of barrels. I have 2 ASP BEALS style Remingtons that I absolutely love. Even after doing several trades with Badgerfarm I still have 5 Colts and 2 Remmies left plus the Hawken rifle and inline.
Now to the point, I have at my disposal a complete Jukar 45cal Colonial pistol, a CVA 45cal Colonial kit that I got several years ago, and all the parts I got from Badgerfarm in trades. I have never built a single shot handgun. I don't want to build a stock pistol .I would love ideas from you guys and pictures please of your work and your ideas on how to modify these handguns. I have a 10 inch barrel with drum and nipple I plan to use. May cut it to 8 or 9 inches . Not looking to build a target handgun, I have those, but want an unusual daily shooter to one day pass on to my grandsons, along with the Contenders, Rugers, Remingtons, S&W' s, Mausers and God what else I have on hand .
For right now I am venturing off into uncharted lands for me . The Marine in me wants more and better looking weapons. Ideas!!! Pictures!!!! Please!!!! Thank you and may God always be your hunting partner

I too have a model of CVA .45.I built it as a kit years ago( my first). I used to keep it loaded with shot and used it as a self defense gun. I too plan on rebuilding it into something differant. Lately I have been using it for parts to some other CVAs that I own. CVA has alot of intetchangeable parts there. I would be most interested to see some input on this mans project as it will also give me some pointers.

Howdy neighbor. You from the Great Lone Star or one of our neighbors? Those are not the pictures I am waiting on from BlackHillsBob. Says he'll get his wife to send to me tomorrow and I will send to all and to you because I did get your email address. Tell you what though that Kentucky Flintlock is damn boss and that CVA Colonial is nice also. 51 was a good year also.

Oh sorry if I gave the impression than my CVA is a Colonial, its a Kentucky. Actually I have 2 CVAs the other is a Philadelphia Derringer.
Oh I'm from South Texas. You'll see alot of members here are Texans.

No I got no such impression. I have CVA Colonial parts out the kazoo right now and need to do something with them. That is the purpose of my thread. To get custom ideas for them. However I do have a 10" barrel and may pick up a Kentucky stock to play with. My engraving skills are none existent but I can polish brass and finish wood.

Ok here is my hybrid Traditions with some Deer Creek Parts. For those poo-pooing Beechwood, this one shows there is some nice figure when you end up with a good cut. Just some molding work, which is a little clunky because I do not have the greatest chisels. Another thing, this pistol is very accurate!

Pretty good looking woodwork. Got a question for you CVA guys. The wood on these kits, beech I think it was called. Where is this wood from? The kits were partially made in Spain I believe. Were Europeon trees used also?

I realize that pictures of this model were not asked for but its the only CVA that I have any pictures of. Also the camera part of this tablet doest work too well. My plan is to send this post then send the photos by way of my smart phone. Sometimes my plans usually dont work out too well. If the pictures come through , the silver on the butt of the gun were conchos on a belt from Mexico.
