Anyone here from the states of Washington or Oregon?

What will the fires do your hunting areas or will there be any areas or critters left?

The smoke is really bad in western Wa. We dont have large fires on the west side of the state ...yet! The experts are warning the air is toxic for all user groups. We need rain bad! Cant say for the east side other than several LARGE fires actively burning. I would have to think that the animals are being pushed out, Hopefully not burned up!

I have a mule tag for Heppner in 3 weeks. Hoping the smoke is mostly over by then. I am very concerned about how dry this summer has been and what that means for deer survival.

Thanks, was wondering.

I have never been to either state and have no concept of the size of either state or where the fires are.

I guess animals will leave an area a lot quicker than people do.

I often wonder about the smaller animals since they are not as mobile as deer and elk. Do sheep and mountain goats go up for safety?

Good luck to all.
